Dallas ranks in top ten in Digital Cities Survey

Dallas made the top ten in the 2018 Digital Cities Survey. Results of the survey were announced by The Center for Digital Government (CDG) this month and recognized cities using technology to take on social challenges, enhance cybersecurity, improve transparency and more. Dallas’ category included cities with a population of 500,000 or more and competed against cities like Los Angeles, San Diego, Louisville,  and Denver.

The CDG highlighted Dallas’ four objectives in regard to tech needs, that it be citizen-centric, smart platform, data-centric with an emphasis on security and privacy within the lens of the city’s strategic priorities of public safety, human & social needs, mobility solutions, infrastructure and sustainability, government performance, financial management, quality of life and economic vitality.

The survey specifically mentioned the implementation of Dallas 365, an interactive dashboard where residents can track the city’s progress on 35 performance measures within its strategic priorities.
